Framingham is a real life town in Massachusetts, located in Middlesex County.[1] It is the hometown of Theresa Sullivan, the main character of Norman Boutin's book Empress Theresa.
Framingham is home to the famous Alice Pizza.
Role in the Story[]
The town serves as Theresa's point of origin, to make her seem like an ordinary girl as she comes from a small, simple place to make her easy to relate to. It's soon left behind as her exploits take her all over the world and even the solar system.
